How Each Programme Is Delivered

Step 1 — Initial Contact

Send a message or call the office. We confirm which programme suits your situation and check availability. No commitment is made at this stage.

Step 2 — Booking and Scope

A written scope is shared before you book. You confirm the date, receive any preparation notes, and arrange payment. All prices are in CAD and stated up front.

Step 3 — Session and Materials

The session runs as described. You receive all printed or digital materials at or before the end of the session. For the team programme, written follow-up begins the day after delivery.

All programmes are educational and informational in nature. No guidance on individual legal, financial, or personal matters is provided.

  • Establishing a second-location copy plan

Estate Terminology Information Series

A four-part educational series explaining the vocabulary that appears in family and property documents. Each part runs 75 minutes. The series is built for community groups, adult learners, libraries, and office staff who encounter legal language occasionally and want a reliable frame of reference.

All examples use fictional records throughout. No participant's documents or personal circumstances are discussed. The series is general education and does not address individual matters.

What the Four Parts Cover

1
Common Terms and Their Meanings — what frequently appearing words in family and property documents generally mean, explained in plain language.
2
How Documents Are Numbered and Dated — the conventions used for dating, numbering, and referencing records, and why they exist.
3
Who Holds Which Records — which types of records are typically held by households, notaries, land registries, and courts.
4
How Public Registries Are Organised — the structure of commonly used public record systems in Québec, using fictional examples.

What Is Included

  • Four 75-minute sessions (in-person or remote)
  • Cumulative glossary of terms covered
  • Worked examples using fictional records
  • Recorded replay access for 120 days

Entry No. 007 — Standards

Standards Shared Across All Programmes

Information Handled Carefully

Contact details and session notes are retained only as long as needed to deliver the programme and any included follow-up. We do not share information for marketing purposes.

Defined Scope in Writing

Each programme scope is shared in writing before booking. Changes to scope are discussed and agreed before they occur — not applied and billed after the fact.

Educational Boundary Maintained

All content is general and educational. We explain how records and systems work, not how to handle any individual's specific affairs. This boundary is observed throughout every session.

Plain Language Throughout

Sessions are conducted in plain English. Technical terms are defined when they are introduced. Materials avoid jargon unless the purpose of the material is to explain that jargon.

Schedules Respected

Sessions start and finish as planned. For multi-session programmes, timing is agreed in advance. If a session overruns due to questions, that time is absorbed — not added to the invoice.

Enquiries Answered Promptly

Messages sent through the contact form or by phone during office hours receive a response within one business day. We confirm availability and programme suitability before any booking is made.
